Sallie Bieterman to Bring Solo Cabaret Show to Don't Tell Mama
Featuring music by artists such as Carole King, Ani DiFranco, and Florence + the Machine.
Sallie Bieterman will present a solo cabaret show at Don't Tell Mama on June 8 and June 20.
Directed by Katie Lavelle with music direction by Billy Blair, the 65-minute performance features 13 songs drawn from musical theater and popular music as Bieterman explores questions of identity, performance, and self-expression.
The evening examines the idea of being perpetually "on" as a performer and considers the relationship between public and private selves. Through a song list that includes selections from the musical theater canon alongside music by artists such as Carole King, Ani DiFranco, and Florence + the Machine, the show traces a personal journey both on and off the stage.
Bieterman's cabaret combines storytelling and music to reflect on authenticity, performance, and the ways people present themselves to the world.
The production is directed by Katie Lavelle with music direction by Billy Blair.

Performances will take place on June 8 and June 20 at 7:00 p.m. at Don't Tell Mama in New York City.
Tickets are $25, with a $20 food and beverage minimum per person. The venue accepts cash only for the minimum purchase requirement. Food service will be available.
