Ars Nova presents Deconstructing with Seth Rudetsky: The Brady Bunch Variety Hour, back by popular demand! When love for "The Brady Bunch" veers toward obsession, Seth Rudetsky is there to deliver running commentary, scene dissection and hilariously harsh judgments on video clips from the beloved American 70s television show. Sunday, November 14th at 7:00 PM at Ars Nova (511 West 54th Street, just west of 10th Ave.).
Join one of Broadway's favorite and funniest personalities, Seth Rudetsky, as he ponders the gal who replaced "Jan," gushes over Ann B. Davis's bedazzling pantsuit and muses on the H.R. Pufnstuf chipmunk dancing behind guest star Tony Randall in a classic episode for a night that's sure to have you rolling in the aisles.
Seth Rudetsky has teamed up with The Actor's Fund as Artistic Producer, conductor and musical director on star-studded productions of Hair, Chess, Funny Girl and the Dreamgirls 20th Anniversary Concert with luminaries such as Harvey Fierstein, Idina Menzel, Gavin Creel, Audra MacDonald, Jane Krakowski, Kristin Chenoweth, Josh Groban, Raul Esparza and Adam Pascal, among others. Rudetsky filmed five episodes of "All My Children" this spring as Rudy the choreographer, opposite Susan Lucci and entertained wildly enthusiastic audiences in his long running Off-Broadway hit Rhapsody in Seth, which played at the Actors' Playhouse. As a pit pianist and conductor, Rudetsky has worked for over 15 Broadway shows, including hits such as 42nd Street, The Full Monty, Phantom of the Opera, Mamma Mia! and The Producers. Rudetsky was part of the three-time Emmy-nominated comedy writing team for "The Rosie O'Donnell Show" and wrote the lyrics and opening numbers of the 1998 and 2000 Tony Awards shows. He also hosts Seth's Broadway Chatterbox at Don't Tell Mama's.
