Lestat performer Roderick Hill has replaced James McMenamin as Mr. Gardner in Butley, the Simon Gray play that is currently in previews at the Booth Theatre.

Starring Nathan Lane, Butley began previews on October 5th and is slated for an  opening on October 25th. The final performance is January 14th, 2007.  The play also stars Julian Ovenden, Dana Ivey, Pamela Gray, Darren Pettie and Jessica Stone.

Butley is "Simon Gray's devastatingly funny play about a college professor who faces losing his wife and his lover in one day. Armed with a cigarette in one hand and a bottle of Scotch in the other, Ben Butley puts his acid wit to work as he fights a last-ditch battle for their affection and for his own sanity."

In addition to playing Nicolas in Lestat, Hill has been seen regionally in such shows as What the Butler Saw, Much Ado About Nothing, Twelfth Night, The Singing Forest and Nerds: The Musical, as well as the Royal Shakespeare Company/Theatre for a New Audience's Cymbeline.

Tickets are available at the Booth Theatre box office and via Telecharge at www.telecharge.com or (212) 239-6200. Ticket prices range from $76.25 to $96.25.

The show plays Tuesday at 7 and Wednesday through Saturday at 8. Matinees are Wednesday and Saturday at 2 and Sunday at 3.
