On March 7, 2026, Girls Inc. of NYC hosted its Junior Board and Ambassador Network Annual Soirée, Her Canvas: Empowering the Strong, Smart, & Bold, at Mriya Gallery, bringing together art, music, and community in support of programs for girls and young women across New York City. Throughout the evening, guests experienced art-inspired activations, an open bar, and light bites while celebrating creativity, self-expression, and the vibrant energy of New York City. The event highlighted work created by Girls Inc. of NYC students while fostering meaningful connections among a community dedicated to equity and opportunity.
Entertainment for the evening was sponsored and performed by violinist Dr. Edward W. Hardy, who delivered solo pop violin performances throughout the night. His set featured arrangements of music by leading female artists including Beyoncé, Ariana Grande, Lauryn Hill, Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Mariah Carey, Ellie Goulding, and Sabrina Carpenter.
The evening raised $46.9K in support of Girls Inc. of NYC’s initiatives, which serve approximately 15,000 students across 250 schools and community centers, with programs focused on STEM education, mental health resources, financial literacy, college readiness, and creative expression.
