It was a big day at Sari's yesterday, as the iconic venue just unveiled a brand new Broadway portrait! Friends and family joined Tony Award winner and star of The Prom Beth Leavel, as her portrait joined the historic collection on the restaurant's walls, honoring Broadway's finest for more than 85 years. Check out photos from the special day below!

Leavel is a Tony, Drama Desk, OCC, L.A. Drama Critics award winner for her performance as the title role in The Drowsy Chaperone. Other Broadway: Baby It's You! (Tony, Drama Desk, OCC award nominations), Bandstand, Elf, Mamma Mia!, Young Frankenstein, 42nd Street, Crazy for You, The Civil War, Show Boat. Beth originated this role of Dee Dee Allen in the world premiere of The Prom at the Alliance Theatre. This is Beth's 13th Broadway show. Numerous television, commercials and Off-Broadway.

THE PROM is the joyous Broadway hit that New York Magazine calls "smart and big-hearted" and The New York Times declares a Critic's Pick! It's a new musical comedy about big Broadway stars, a small town, and a love that unites them all. The Prom opened on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at the Longacre Theatre (220 West 48th Street).
