Actress/singer Julia Murney perform a one-night-only concert at Birdland on Monday, February 7th.  Murney is currently in Ken Weitzman's Arrangements at the Atlantic Theatre Company, and will star in the upcoming Lennon on Broadway. She recently performed the role of Fastrada in an all-star benefit production of Pippin, and portrayed Florence in the Actor's Fund concert of Chess opposite Josh Groban. She received a Drama Desk nomination for her work in Andrew Lippa's The Wild Party, and her other theatrical credits include First Lady Suites, Crimes of the Heart, Time and Again, A Class Act, Cloud 9 and Mata Hari.

The evening included songs from her theatrical career, including a tune from Andrew Lippa's The Wild Party, some beloved pop and country songs (Bobbie Gentry's "Fancy") and brand new songs by Lippa and her Musical Director, Tom Kitt (MD on Broadway's Laugh Whore). Stephen Oremus also stepped in to play for one number.
