Pedi, Akers, Caruso & More Team Up for 'Cabaret for Medicine,' 4/12

National Foundation for Facial Reconstruction (NFFR) will present Cabaret for Medicine, an intimate evening of musical entertainment produced by Carl Andress featuring Karen Akers, Jim Caruso, Barb Jungr, Linda Lavin, Christine Pedi and Billy Stritch, on Monday April 12, 2010.
The benefit, designed to help the National Foundation for Facial Reconstruction raise money and awareness for children and adults with craniofacial differences, is chaired by Anne and Steve McGuinness and vice-chaired by Jennifer Bayer Michaels and Howard L. Michaels. The evening will begin at 6:30pm at Cipriani 42nd Street with a cocktail hour, followed by entertainment, dinner and a unique live auction which will raise funds for specific medical procedures. The NFFR will honor Eileen and Arthur Newman for dedication to the psychological and social children with craniofacial differences.Single benefit tickets start at $1,000. Tables start at $10,000. founded the Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery (IRPS) at NYU Langone Medical Center in
New York City, which has become one of the most innovative craniofacial centers in the world for
research, education and patient care. Over 2,000 children are treated at the IRPS every year, regardless of the severity of their condition or their families' ability to afford medical care. This is achieved both through NFFR funding and through the generosity of the Institute doctors, who provide free appointments, surgeries and follow-up treatment.
