Orlando Out Fest to Return to Orlando Fringe This September
George Wallace of The Center Orlando curates the lineup, presented with The Renaissance Theatre Company and Savoy's Starlight Room.
Orlando Fringe will welcome the return of Orlando Out Fest this September, bringing together queer theatre, art, music, comedy, film, drag and more for four days of programming across Orlando.
Presented by Orlando Fringe and curated by George Wallace, Executive Director of The Center Orlando, the festival will take place September 10-13, with a free opening party on September 9.
Orlando Fringe will partner with The Center Orlando, The Renaissance Theatre Company and the Starlight Room at Savoy to present 21 shows and events throughout the Ivanhoe Village and Mills50 neighborhoods.
“As the former Executive Director of Orlando Fringe and the current Chief Executive Director of The Center Orlando, I get to marry my two passions; theatre and serving the LGBTQ community,” Wallace said. “I am immensely proud of the curation of Out Fest.”
The lineup brings together local and national queer artists working across stand-up, burlesque, storytelling, drag, film, cabaret and other forms of performance.
“We are so excited to bring back Orlando Out Fest as a part of our Orlando Fringe programming to celebrate and recognize the art made by and for the LGBTQIA+ plus community,” said Orlando Fringe Artistic Director Tempestt Halstead.
