New 'Sex Is In The Heel' Clip From KINKY BOOTS

Effervescent and energetic 2013 Best Musical winner Kinky Boots has released a new look at one of the flashy and fabulous new musical's most celebrated production numbers, "The Sex Is In The Heel".

"New York, Paris, Hong Kong / Live it like an ism / Seduction amplified / The heel is the transmission," sings Billy Porter and the fabulous gender-bending leggy ladies of the choreographically superb company in the spirited scene staged to the hilt by Tony Award-winning director/choreographer Jerry Mitchell.

"The Sex Is In The Heel" is one of many memorable and ear-grabbing new tunes penned for the screen-to-stage adaptation of the 2005 British indie film by pop icon Cyndi Lauper, who took home a 2013 Best Score Tony Award for her efforts on the musical collaboration with playwright, actor and activist Harvey Fierstein.

The official description of Kinky Boots is as follows: "Charlie Price (Tony nominee STARK SANDS) has suddenly inherited his father's shoe factory, which is on the verge of bankruptcy. Trying to live up to his father's legacy and save his family business, Charlie finds inspiration in the form of Lola (Tony winner BILLY PORTER). A fabulous entertainer in need of some sturdy stilettos, Lola turns out to be the one person who can help Charlie become the man he's meant to be. As they work to turn the factory around, this unlikely pair finds that they have more in common than they ever dreamed possible... and discovers that when you change your mind about someone, you can change your whole world.
