Anastasia Mezhanskaya, a graduating BFA student at NYU Tisch School of the Arts, will perform her capstone, 'Hold Me, Earth', an interdisciplinary live performance exploring the cycle of life through handcrafted wearable sculptures, masks, and movement.
The piece draws on Slavic mythology, embodying Mother Earth through three characters - The Beginning, The Continuation, and The End. The production brings together an international team of designers, composers, and performers.
Performances are May 7-9 at John A. Paulson Center, Studio G, 5th Floor, 181 Mercer St, New York, NY 10012
