Rick Crom's Newsical at Upstairs at Studio 54 (located at 254 West 54th Street between 8th and Broadway) announces the collaboration between celebrity buzz buff Michael Musto and Newsical creator Rick Crom. Every month, Musto will tip Crom off to his imminent scoops, complete with extra salacious details when applicable. Crom, in a frenzy, will then churn out what is essentially a musicalized version of the column, with a few more added endowments. The song will be called "The Michael Musto Song", and will premiere at the Wednesday, March 2nd performance. Each new "Musto Song" will premiere on the first Wednesday of every month.

"The Michael Musto Song" will join recent new material such as songs "Lost in a Red State", "I Finally Have a Shot with Brad Pitt", and sketches of George W describing his Social Security plan, a scene with Ossama Bin Laden shooting a new video directed by Susan Stroman, a Sponge Bob denying rumors that he's gay skit, and a little thing where Paris Hilton is announcing her new book.

And remember Thursdays throughout February are PAY WHAT YOU CAN at the Box Office two hours before each show, ending February 24th. For everything Newsical visit www.newsicalthemusical.com.

The cast currently includes Stephanie Kurtzuba (The Boy From Oz on Broadway, The Joys of Sex and Bat Boy Off-Broadway), Todd Alan Johnson (Aida on Broadway), Trisha Rapier (performed the role of Liza Minelli in The Boy From Oz, a regular of Forbidden Broadway/ Hollywood, starred in Golf: the Musical and was the winner of the Carol Burnett Award and The Spotlight Award of the Los Angeles Music Center) and Jim Newman (on Broadway: Minnelli on Minnelli – cast album and Steel Pier – cast album, as well as Sunset Boulevard and The Who's Tommy).
