Marcus Goldhaber Returns to Manhattan Tonight at The Kitano

Next week, acclaimed NYC jazz vocalist-songwriter Marcus Goldhaber is back in Manhattan for his first concert of the new year -tonight, Jan. 28 at The Kitano for the "Jazz @ The Kitano" Series, where he'll be reuniting with the Jon Davis Trio as the celebration continues for A LOVELY WAY TO SPEND AN EVENING (Fallen Apple/The Orchard), Marcus' latest album and first with major distribution.

Davis, Marcus' longtime pianist and musical director, appears plays on all but one track on A LOVELY WAY TO SPEND AN EVENING, which has become a playlist staple of Public Radio International's nationally syndicated "Jazz After Hours" and debuted on the Most Added list for JazzWeek. The album also premiered on WBAI/New York's "Everything Old Is New" alongside new recordings by Barbra Streisand, Ray Charles and Annie Lennox.

The album, just released in the fall, also made Honorable Mention on Year-End Best Albums of 2014 lists by The Patriot-Ledger (Quincy, MA), and Times Square Gossip.

Marcus has opened for Jane Monheit at Sellersville Theater (PA) on this tour, and will be heading to Philadelphia next month to play World Cafe Live as part of "The Composers Series." He recently returned from Las Vegas, where he was reprising his off-Broadway role in the Harold Arlen salute, The Wonderful Wizard of Song.
