MARY POPPINS JR. is the Final Show Of Upper Darby Summer Stage's 43rd Season Upper Darby Summer Stage presents the final children's theater show of its 43rd season, Disney's Mary Poppins, Jr. This timeless story will dazzle theatergoers with magical fun and toe-tapping classics such as "Step in Time," "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious," and "A Spoonful of Sugar." Performances are August 7,8,9,10 at 10:30 am and on August 9 at 7:30 pm at the Upper Darby Performing Arts Center.

Tickets are affordably priced at $8-$11 and members of The Upper Darby Performing Arts Center save $1. Tickets may be purchased at udpac.org or by calling the box office at 610.622.1189. The Upper Darby Performing Arts Center is located at 601 N. Lansdowne Avenue, Drexel Hill, PA., minutes from the Main Line and Center City.

The charming narrator, Bert (Anthony Flamminio of Drexel Hill) introduces us to the extraordinary Mary Poppins (Michaela Henry of Springfield), who is "Practically Perfect" in every way! Mary is the new nanny to Jane (Noel Guidetti of Havertown) and Michael (Zach Graaf of Havertown) Banks. The Banks family doesn't have the best track record with nannies, but, with Mary Poppins they go on intriguing adventures and learn to value the world around them. Mysterious Mary Poppins teaches the Banks family, and audiences alike, that "Anything Can Happen If You Let It."

The show runs seventy minutes with no intermission and is ideal for ages four and up. The theater offers free parking and free babysitting on site for the very young. Young audience members are encouraged to come early for a fun activity and to stay after the show for a meet-and-greet with the performers.

Stacy Moscotti, the director of Disney's Mary Poppins, Jr. speaks the show. "Mary Poppins, Jr. is the timeless classic tale that you know and love! It's full of all the rousing and heartwarming songs you remember. Everyone in the family will enjoy the wonderful story of the Banks family and how a magical nanny sweeps into their lives. It really is full of so much compassion, heart, joy. It's sure to be a memorable and magical time for all!"

The Upper Darby Performing Arts Center and Upper Darby Summer Stage are jointly sponsored by Upper Darby Township Mayor and Council and the Upper Darby School District Board of School Directors through the Department of Recreation and Leisure Services.

Upper Darby Summer Stage celebrates 42 seasons empowering young people and entertaining families. Each season the program presents six dynamic Children's Theater productions and one professional caliber Mainstage production.

Summer Stage offers programs for students beginning at age 10 in the Theater Bugs program and has participants up to age 28 in the Mainstage productions. Programs available include Theater Bugs (10-11 yrs.), Magic Makers (11-12 yrs.), Rising Stars (12-13 yrs.), Children's Theater (14-17 yrs.), and Mainstage (18-28 yrs.). Summer Stage also offers an outstanding technical theater program for students ages 14 to 18.
