Karen Olivo, Jeremy Jordan & More to Lead WEST SIDE STORY in Concert at The Hollywood Bowl

The Hollywood Bowl has enlisted some top Broadway talent for the Los Angeles Master Chorale's upcoming concert presentations of WEST SIDE STORY this summer.

Conducted by Gustavo Dudamel on July 14 and July 19, the cast will feature Jeremy Jordan as Tony and Karen Olivo as Anita, who won a Tony Award for her take on the role in the 2009 Broadway revival.

The company will also include Solea Pfeiffer as Maria, George Akram as Bernardo, Matthew James Thomas as Riff, Drew Foster as Action, Kyle Selig as Baby John, Anthony Chatmon II as A-rab, Jennifer Sanchez as Rosalia, Brit West as Francisca, Julia Bullock as A Girl, and Jeff Smith as Diesel.

The poignant, provocative and emotionally powerful musical, based on the conception by Jerome Robbins, with a book by Arthur Laurents, music by Leonard Bernstein, and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, takes us back to the mid-1950s and New York's Upper West Side, where racial and social tensions run high. Hear many of Leonard Bernstein's most famous songs: "Maria," "America," "Somewhere" and "Tonight."

Olivo created the role of Vanessa in the Tony Award-winning musical production of In the Heights both on and off-Broadway. She also appeared on Broadway in Rent and Brooklyn. Among her television credits, Olivo was a series regular on the NBC television series Harry's Law and had a recurring role on CBS' The Good Wife.

Jordan was nominated for a Tony Award in 2012 for his role as Jack Kelly in NEWSIES, which he began with Paper Mill Playhouse in 2011. He has also appeared in Broadway's Bonnie & Clyde in 2011, as well as Rock of Ages and West Side Story in 2009. He guest-starred on Law & Order: SVU in 2008 and appeared in the film Joyful Noise. He also appeared in the second season of NBC's SMASH. He starred in the special Encores! event A Bed and a Chair- Stephen Sondheim and Wynton Marsalis's new musical event featuring Sondheim's music ARRANGEDand performed by the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis. He currently stars in SUPERGIRL on The CW.
