Judy Craymer stopped in to the "French and Saunders" radio show to talk about her upcoming Spice Girls musical, VIVA FOREVER.

"Everyone can identify with the Spice Girls," said the celebrated MAMMIA MIA! producer. "I want to be a different Spice Girl every day of the week."

Co-hosts Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders tried to pry more information out of Craymer, who would only share that the "girl power" show would be going into production "soon."

According to an earlier report by Baz Bamigboye on Daily Mail Online, the upcoming Spice Girls musical, entitled Viva Forever, is set to focus on a group of young women living in this contemporary society, and will even include a mother-daughter story. Producer, Craymer explains that, 'Viva Forever will encompass the Spice Girls ethos of friendship, identity and being true to yourself, it won't be a tribute or bio show, nor will it feature characters with any of the names of the famous five-piece.'

Mama Mia's Craynor explained, 'It has a glimpse of the underbelly of TV talent shows, an invented show, and a little bit of comedy romance.' She went on to comment, 'We live in a world dominated by people wanting to be famous. What they (the Spice Girls) did was before those shows became really what they are, and before the world become slightly obsessed by such shows.'

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Craymer has announced an agreement with Simon Fuller's new XIX company, The Spice Girls and Universal Music under which Judy Craymer Productions will create and produce a new musical, under the Working Title Viva Forever, based on the songs of another world-wide phenomenon, The Spice Girls.

This is not a tribute show, but it will harness the distinct personality of The Spice Girls to create a musical that celebrates the energy and excitement of the biggest girl-band of all time.

Judy Craymer says, "I'm delighted that Simon Fuller and The Spice Girls are so supportive of the idea of Viva Forever. I want to create a unique celebration of the band and its music, with its own flavour and joyful message. It is important to me that the excitement, style and humour of The Spice Girls is well represented on stage."
