Theatrical favorites John Barrowman, Cheyenne Jackson, and Neil Patrick Harris are three of AfterElton.com's picks for Men of the Decade.

Openly gay actor John Barrowman (La Cage Aux Folles, Sunset Boulevard), and who recently released his second autobiography ranked #1 on the list. Broadway star Cheyenne Jackson (of Xanadu and Finian's Rainbow fame), who came out publicly in 2004, holds the #2 slot. Not to be left off the list is Neil Patrick Harris (Assassins, Doogie Howser) who took the #3 spot for recanting a statement made by his publicist that he was "not of that persuasion," and coming out in 2004. Harris later fired the publicist.

Additional theatrical representation on the list includes openly gay performers such as former Wicked ensemble member and American Idol finalist Adam Lambert, Spring Awakening Tony nominee Jonathan Groff, Toxic Avenger's Nick Rodriguez, A Chorus Line's Nick Adams and Scott Evans who all share the #6 spot. Both Evans and Rodriguez appear in a gay story line on One Life to Live.
