The 2006 Best Musical Tony Award-winning musical Jersey Boys will celebrate its first anniversary on Broadway Monday, November 6.  Winner of four 2006 Tony® Awards including Best Musical, the show is the story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons that opened to critical and popular acclaim at the August Wilson Theatre (formerly the Virginia Theatre) on November 6, 2005 (previews began October 4, 2005).

The show is written by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, with music by Bob Gaudio, lyrics by Bob Crewe, and is directed by two-time Tony Award-winner Des McAnuff and choreographed by Sergio Trujillo.

Jersey Boys "is the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons: Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi, about a group of blue-collar boys from the wrong side of the tracks who became one of the biggest American pop music sensations of all time. They wrote their own songs, invented their own sounds and sold 175 million records worldwide - all before they were thirty."

The cast of the show is lead by Tony Award-winner Christian Hoff (Tommy DeVito), Daniel Reichard (Bob Gaudio), J. Robert Spencer (Nick Massi) and Tony Award® winner John Lloyd Young (Frankie Valli) as The Four Seasons; with Peter Gregus and Mark Lotito.

The cast also includes Kris Coleman, Heather Ferguson, Steve Gouveia, Donnie Kehr, John Leone, Michael Longoria, Jennifer Naimo, Dominic Nolfi, Erica Piccininni, Sara Schmidt and Matthew Scott.

Jersey Boys is produced on Broadway by Dodger Theatricals, Joseph J. Grano, Tamara and Kevin Kinsella, Pelican Group, in association with Latitude Link and Rick Steiner/Oshen/Staton/Bell/Mayerson Group.

The musical's design and production team comprises Klara Zieglerova (Scenic Design), Jess Goldstein (Costume Design), Tony Award® winner Howell Binkley (Lighting Design), Steve Canyon Kennedy (Sound Design), Michael Clark (Projections Design), Charles LaPointe (Wig and Hair Design), Steve Orich (Orchestrations), Ron Melrose (Music Direction, Vocal Arrangements & Incidental Music).

Jersey Boys debuted at the La Jolla Playhouse, running October 5, 2004 through January 16, 2005, with an opening night on October 17, 2004. It became the most successful production in the history of the playhouse, extending three times.

The cast recording is available now on Rhino Records. The national tour will launch in San Francisco December, 2006; in Los Angeles May, 2007; and Chicago October, 2007 with many more cities to be announced.
