In April, it was announced that Frankie Valli and Bob Gaudio - two of the original Jersey Boys of The Four Seasons - along with JERSEY BOYS: The Musical writers Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice filed a law suit against six former JERSEY BOYS: The Musical performers, claiming that their tour, "The Boys in Concert," rips off of the Broadway musical in unauthorized ways.  The New York Post reported that "The Rock 'n Roll Hall of Famer claims "The Boys in Concert" steals songs, stage elements and copyrighted logos to dupe patrons into thinking it's an "authorized road company" of the long-running Broadway musical."

It now appears that the lawsuit might have been settled. The production's website,
www.theboysinconcert.com, has been updated to reflect rebranding, including a new title, "The 4 Hitmen."

The website features an updated description of the show: "THE 4 HITMEN reunites four stars from the original cast of Broadway's Jersey Boys. Tony-Award winner Christian Hoff, Michael Longoria, Daniel Reichard and Tony-Award nominee J. Robert Spencer, star in this one-of-a-kind concert experience celebrating the music that defined the 60's. Music from Beatles to Beach Boys to Motown and of course, the Four Seasons!
While in Jersey Boys, they recorded a Grammy Award winning platinum selling album, performed at Radio City Music Hall, Carnegie Hall, The U.S. Open, the New York City Marathon and Dick Clark's Rockin' New Year's Eve. Personal appearances include "Celebrity Jeopardy," "Live: Regis and Kelly," "The Today Show" and "The Late Show with David Letterman." Witness this new journey of four Broadway Stars whose unique sound and chemistry has catapulted them from the Broadway stage to concert venues across America. They are thrilled to be together again sharing their incredible sound with audiences everywhere."

At the time of the lawsuit, Valli and company were seeking an end to the tour, in addition to $150,000 for each of 10 tunes performed, in addition to the production's profits.  Reportedly, they were also seeking unspecified damage compensation for copyright infringement.

The suit was filed against, among others, Christian Hoff, Tony-winner for his portrayal of Tommy DeVito and Michael Longoria.  The suit claimed that The Boys in Concert has played venues in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Atlantic City to date.
