JENNY BIRD & Indigo Partner for New Line

Prominent Canadian jewelry designer, Jenny Bird and the country's leading book, gift and specialty toy retailer, Indigo are thrilled to reveal the JENNY BIRD x Indigo diffusion line available at Indigo.ca beginning today. The collection-titled Modern Pearl-is designed for the feminine, fashionable woman who is seeking the edgy touch that Bird's eponymous line is known for.

The 24-piece JENNY BIRD x Indigo diffusion line, comprised of 14 different styles, incorporates pearls throughout as well as Bird's signature chains, with no piece over $100. The collection is modern; it offers of-the-moment earring crawlers ($29), sleek structural collars, and mixed metals. It provides an opportunity for the fashionable set to pick up limited edition pieces of Bird's coveted jewels at affordable prices.

"When designing, I focused on women who exude a modern, feminine style like Cate Blanchett. Then I asked myself, 'What would Cate want to wear to Paris Fashion Week?'" said Jenny Bird, creative director of JENNY BIRD. "I was given the inspiration of 'a modern romantic' from Indigo. It was such perfect timing with pearls having a moment in fashion jewelry, so I decided to explore blending my brand's attitude with the sophistication of the pearl. The resulting pieces have this beautiful tension of edge and grace. I'm excited for bird girls across Canada to discover the pieces and make them their own and I'm thrilled that they can do that at such an accessible price point."

The partnership between JENNY BIRD and Indigo is a natural fit as this fall marks Indigo's biggest fashion push to date. Indigo is a current stockist of the JENNY BIRD mainline and saw an opportunity to approach Bird to create a diffusion line that offers greater accessibility to her designs.

We were already fans of JENNY BIRD so this partnership was a natural fit for Indigo's direction," said Sarah Deitcher, Indigo's senior fashion accessories buyer.

The JENNY BIRD x Indigo collection is available now on Indigo.ca and will be in key locations including Indigo Toronto Eaton Centre (220 Yonge St.), Indigo Bay & Bloor (55 Bloor St. West) and Indigo Granville (2505 Granville St.) as of Aug. 31, 2015. Prices range from $29-$98 CAD.
