ImprovBoston and The Bridge Center join together to share the power of laughter for the Fifth Annual Comedy For A Cause event. ImprovBoston's National Touring Company brings their unique brand of fast-paced, high energy, interactive comedy to create a one-of-a-kind show at 7:00pm on April 28 at the Wilbur Theater. One of the largest fundraisers of the year for The Bridge Center, all proceeds are dedicated to building their suite of year-round programs and services to benefit children with special needs.

ImprovBoston is a non-profit comedy theater dedicated to serving the community through laughter. In addition to featuring over 20 shows a week at their Cambridge theater space, ImprovBoston offers programs and initiatives including anti-bullying workshops in schools throughout Massachusetts, interactive curricular touring programs, after school "Laughter School" programs, and vacation comedy camps. ImprovBoston is proud to grow this relationship with The Bridge Center, a like-minded organization that provides opportunities and programs for children and adults with special needs to build social, emotional and physical skills.

Alex Abisso, development coordinator at The Bridge Center says, "We could not be more excited for the new energy ImprovBoston will bring to the show. Their fast-paced, on the spot comedy is sure to be a huge crowd pleaser. We are thrilled to be able to pair up with such an incredibly hysterical group to raise money for such a great cause!"

The show will be hosted by comedian Patty Ross and veteran news anchor Susan Wornick. The show also features performances by the Boston College Acoustics and Charlie Chords from Berklee College of Music.

Boston is recognized around the world for the comedy talent that comes from our city. For 30 years, ImprovBoston has been the region's leading theater and school dedicated to the art of comedy in all its forms. Consistently voted "Best of Boston" by The Phoenix, The Improper Bostonian, and The Weekly Dig, ImprovBoston performers, teachers and students have included comedians that have gone on to fame as internationally celebrated film stars, Emmy Award winning television stars, acclaimed theatrical producers, and writers for shows including The Daily Show and Real Time with Bill Maher. As a nonprofit theater, ImprovBoston serves the community through laughter.
