In this feature, each week I'll analyze our exclusive Broadway Social Media data, highlighting the top growing plays, musicals, and upcoming productions.

Total Growth
Measures the total percentage increase in likes and follows over Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram over the previous seven days.

The top growing current Broadway musicals were Carousel (165.55%), The Band's Visit (11.08%), Summer (10.51%), Mean Girls (3.60%) and My Fair Lady (3.41%).

The top growing current Broadway plays were The Iceman Cometh (22.64%), Three Tall Women (7.30%), Cursed Child (6.81%), Children Of A Lesser God (4.27%) and Angels in America(2.44%).

The top growing shows this week on Facebook were Cursed Child (+55,726), Mean Girls (+1,968), Aladdin (+1,484), Hamilton (+1,229) and Summer (+858).

The shows with the least growth were The Lion King (-772), Book of Mormon (-635), Wicked (-306), Kinky Boots (-31) and Travesties (-20).

Talking About

The Broadway shows which had the most growth being talked about on Facebook were Mean Girls (+18,958), The Phantom of the Opera (+12,643), Hamilton (+12,123), Summer (+5,136) and Once On this Island (+1,862).

The Broadway shows which are down most being talked about on Facebook were Cursed Child (-24,831), The Lion King (-5,796), Anastasia (-4,866), Waitress (-4,314) and My Fair Lady(-2,701).
