ONCE, the 11 time Tony nominated musical just had its best box office week yet at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre, grossing $820,323 for the week ending May 27, 2012. THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, has broken the house record of Broadway’s Eugene O’Neill Theatre for the 34th time. The show earned $1,609,477.71 for the week ending Sunday, May 27, in the 1,068-seat O’Neill, one of Broadway’s smallest theatres. Arthur Miller’s DEATH OF A SALESMAN broke the house record of the Barrymore Theatre for the seventh time and had its first million dollar week, grossing an extraordinary $1,014,413.31 with only seven performances for the week ending May 27, 2012.
