The captivating IMAX film Hubble opens at the American Museum of Natural History on Saturday, July 3. For nearly 20 years, the Hubble Space Telescope has dazzled us with unprecedented views of the cosmos, from the splendor of Earth's celestial neighborhood to galaxies billions of light years away. Narrated by Leonardo DiCaprio, this 43-minute film allows audiences to blast off alongside the Atlantis STS-125 crew, witness some of the most challenging spacewalks ever performed, and experience firsthand Hubble's striking images from the heart of the Orion Nebula and our Milky Way to the edge of the observable universe. Recounting the amazing journey of the most important scientific instrument since Galileo's original telescope, Hubble immerses audiences in the great wonders and astounding beauty of our universe.

Through the power of IMAX, Hubble enables audiences to journey through distant galaxies to explore the grandeur and mysteries of our celestial surroundings, and accompany space-walking astronauts as they attempt some of the most difficult and important tasks in NASA's history. The film offers an inspiring and unique look into the Hubble Space telescope's legacy and highlights its profound impact on the way we view the universe and ourselves.

Hubble reunites the Space Station filmmaking team, led by Producer/Director Toni Myers. James Neihouse, Director of Photography, also doubles as the Astronaut crew trainer. Judy Carroll is Associate Producer, and Graeme Ferguson, Co-founder of IMAX and pioneer Producer of many IMAX space films, is Executive Producer. Hubble is an IMAX and Warner Bros. Pictures production, in cooperation with National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).

Visitors interested in learning more about the cosmos can visit the Museum's Frederick Phineas and Sandra Priest Rose Center for Earth and Space. The 120-foot-high, 335,500-square-foot facility encompasses a completely rebuilt Hayden Planetarium and spectacular exhibition halls that explore the vast range of sizes in the cosmos; the more than 13-billion-year history of the universe; the fascinating nature of galaxies, stars, and planets; and the dynamic features of our own unique planet, Earth.

Screenings of Hubble will be held daily (10:30, 11:30am, 12:30, 1:30, 2:30, 3:30 and 4:30pm) beginning July 3. Tickets, which include Museum admission, are $24 for adults, $18 for students and seniors, and $14 for children. To purchase tickets in advance, the public should call 212-769-5200 or visit amnh.org. A service charge may apply.
