Hill Country Community Theatre Presents THE RED VELVET CAKE WAR A riotously funny Southern-fried comedy, "The Red Velvet Cake War", will be playing at the Hill Country Community Theatre this April 26th through May 13th.

The Verdeen cousin's Aunt LeMerle canceled the family reunion because Gaynelle "accidentally" crashed her minivan through her husband's girlfriend's doublewide. If Gaynelle can pull off a successful reunion, she can prove her sanity. She also bets her house that she can make a better red velvet cake than her aunt. Throw into the mix an excursion to dig up the town's time capsule to get a famous red velvet cake recipe for some crazy antics on the hottest day of July, smack-dab in the middle of Texas tornado season as things spin out of control!

This show is written by the comedy team of Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope and Jamie Wooten ("Dixie Swim Club", "The Hallelujah Girls" and "Dashing Through the Snow") and is directed by Wendy Ferrell. "Our audience already knows these authors are funny and that's definitely true with this show," says Ferrell. "The cast has already bonded over the riotous lines and action. It's fast paced and a little madcap! Laugh till you cry hilarity!"

"The Red Velvet Cake War" will be presented at the Hill Country Community Theatre, 4003 W FM 2147, Cottonwood Shores, TX 78657. Performances will be on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 7:30 PM and Sunday matinees at 2:15 PM.

Admission is $20 for adults and $10 for students with a valid ID. Reservations can be made by calling (830) 798-8944, online at www.theHCCT.org, or at the box office April 19 for the general public. HCCT season subscribers and may make reservations starting April 16.
