A starry cast will take part in the L.A. Theatre Works' staging of the George Bernard Shaw play Arms and the Man from February 1st through 5th.

The show will feature Anne Heche, Teri Garr and Jeremy Sisto, as well as Jason Kravits ("The Practice"), Sarah Rafferty, Al Espinoza ("House"), and Michael Winters ("Gilmore Girls").
"The beautiful and headstrong Raina eagerly awaits her fiance's victorious return from battle—but instead meets an enemy soldier who seeks asylum in her bedroom. This is one soldier who definitely prefers romance and chocolate to the heat of battle. War may be raging on the battlefield, but it ís the battle of the sexes that heats up this extraordinary comedy that offers very different notions of love and war," state press notes on the comedy, which satirically explores notions of pacificm and heroism alongside the romance. Arms and the Man will be helmed by Brendan Fox.

Heche previously appeared at LATW in a production of Adam's Rib. Her Broadway credits include Proof and Twentieth Century, for which she received a Tony Award nomination for her work as Lily Garland. On screen, the actress has appeared in films such as Birth, John Q, Prozac Nation, Psycho, Six Days Seven Nights, Wag the Dog, Volcano, Donnie Brasco and Walking and Talking.

Garr appeared off-Broadway in The Vagina Monologues and One Crack Out. Oscar-nominated for her performance in Tootsie, her other screen credits include Ghost World, Dick, A Simple Wish, Michael, Pret a Porter, Dumb and Dumber, The Black Stallion and Young Frankenstein. She has also made numerous TV appearances.

Sisto, who is perhaps best-known for his role on HBO's "Six Feet Under," has been seen on screen in A Lot Like Love, The Wrong Turn, Thirteen, Angel Eyes, White Squall, Suicide Kings and Clueless, as well as in the mini-series "Julius Caesar." Take Me Out and Dead End are among his stage credits.

The plays of George Bernard Shaw are currently quite the theatrical fashion. On January 23rd, Marc Kudisch, Malcolm Gets, George S. Irving, Alison Fraser, Nancy Anderson and others headlined a reading of Arms and the Man as the inaugural play of the far-reaching Shaw Project, which will put all of the legendary Irish dramatist's works before audiences in 2006 and 2007.
