HERSHEY FELDER, A PARIS LOVE STORY Will Have Its World Premiere In April 2019

Award-winning actor, author and piano virtuoso Hershey Felder will present the world premiere of his newest work, Hershey Felder, A Paris Love Story, featuring the music of the great Impressionist composer Claude Debussy, in April 2019. The production is the final work in Felder's critically acclaimed "Great Composer Series" of one-man shows, which have included George Gershwin, Leonard Bernstein, Irving Berlin, Ludwig van Beethoven, Frédéric Chopin, Franz Liszt, and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.

Hershey Felder, A Paris Love Story, written and performed by Felder and directed by Trevor Hay, will have its world premiere at TheatreWorks, Silicon Valley, in Mountain View, CA., running April 3-May 5. The production will next play May 8-19 at the Laguna Playhouse, Laguna Beach, CA., and May 24-June 9 at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills, CA.

In A Paris Love Story, Felder takes us on his own personal journey as he explores Debussy's life and music. He brings to life a visionary who proclaimed nature his religion, creating music of ravishing beauty, color, and compassion, from the sweeping "La mer," to the evocative "L'après-midi d'un faune" and the mystical "Clair de lune."

Felder's 2019 US tour features engagements of his critically acclaimed shows Hershey Felder as Irving Berlin from January 9-February 17 at The Actors Theatre of Louisville in Louisville, KY., and from June 21-June 30 at Hartford Stage, Hartford, CT., and Hershey Felder, Beethoven from February 21-March 24 at San Diego Repertory Theatre in San Diego, CA.

Felder will also present author and musician Mona Golabek in The Pianist of Willesden Lane, based on the book, The Children of Willesden Lane, written by Golabek and Lee Cohen, and adapted for the stage by Felder. Set in Vienna in 1938 and London during the Blitzkrieg, The Pianist of Willesden Lane tells the story of Lisa Jura, a young Jewish pianist who is dreaming about her concert debut at the storied Musikverein concert hall. But with the issuing of new ordinances under the Nazi regime, everything for Lisa changes, except for her love of music and the pursuit of her dream. The production will play from May 10-26 at Le Petit Théâtre Du Vieux Carré, in New Orleans, LA.

Following is a list of upcoming engagements from January 29-June 30. Additional touring dates for 2019 will be announced soon.
