The Guthrie is pleased to announce the launch of a new micro-site to showcase its upcoming production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. Designed by Twin Cities-based Gorton Studios, www.MyMidsummer.com uses Flash animation to capitalize on the fantastical fairy world created in Director Joe Dowling's signature production, building off the show artwork created by SpotCo, the Guthrie's New York-based creative agency.

The new micro-site, which is also reachable from www.guthrietheater.org, offers six interactive areas, including spots where visitors can hear directly from the cast and creative team, watch behind the scenes videos of the production process, get the latest news, send eCards to friends and customize their computer desktops and MySpace pages with the Midsummer art.

The site, which launched today, follows a similar backend structure of Guthrie's main site, which was also designed by Gorton. Adding this level of Flash elements to the simple, straightforward navigational structure of the site is unique in this setting.

A glorious celebration of young love and the power of imagination, A Midsummer Night's Dream begins previews April 12 and plays through June 22, 2008. Tickets are priced from $24 to $69 and are on sale through the Guthrie Box Office at 612.377.2224, toll-free 877.44.STAGE and online at www.guthrietheater.org.
