Ghostlight to Release Fame Becomes Me Album, 4/10

Ghostlight Records, a division of Sh-K-Boom Records, will release the original cast recording of Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me on Tuesday, April 10, 2007.  Conceived by Martin Short and Scott Wittman, with book by Martin Short & Daniel Goldfarb (Modern Orthodox), additional material by Alan Zweibel, music by Marc Shaiman, and lyrics by Scott Wittman & Marc Shaiman (Hairspray), this musical was directed by Scott Wittman and had its Broadway premiere at Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre in August 2006.  The CD is produced by Grammy® and Tony Award® winner and five time Oscar® nominee Marc Shaiman and Executive Produced by Sh-K-Boom / Ghostlight Records President Kurt Deutsch.

The Original Cast Recording features Brooks Ashmanskas, Mary Birdsong, Capathia Jenkins and Nicole Parker, each playing a wide variety of different characters, along with Martin Short.
