In a new interview with E!, GLEE creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk assure fans that the complicated relationship between Blaine (Darren Criss) and Kurt (Chris Colfer) will all work out happily by the conclusion of the series.

In recent weeks, it was revealed that Max Adler's character Dave Karofsky would return to Lima and become "romantically entangled with" Blaine, causing a bit of an uproar among die-hard fans. Promises Falchuk, "It's Glee. Be happy. It's going to be OK."

Explained co-creator Murphy, "You have to have obstacles to have a happy ending. I've spent a year learning what they want. We have a list in the writers' room that says, 'What do the fans want to end that show?' And our endings are all very uplifting, and I think by the end of it, people will be ecstatic and really thrilled by how things turn out. I am."

Responding to the backlash from Gleeks about the Karofsky/Blaine love affair, Falchuk concedes, "I have a lot of angry tweets. But look, it's a new season and we're exploring some stuff. We love Kurt. We love Blaine. We love them together. We love them apart. We love them all kids of ways. And I think that their relationship is a really great place to explore some more complicated stories. Really, it's going to be OK."

He also reveale that the final scene of the series has been figured out, yet did not go so far as to confirm reports that it will involve Cory Monteith's Finn and Lea Michele's Rachel. "Yeah, I think we've got it," he teased.

GLEE is set to return for a 13-episode run beginning in 2015. Max Adler is expected to appear in at least four of the remaining episodes. Heather Morris, Naya Rivera, Dianna Agron and Mark Salling are among the former cast members who will also appear during the season.
