Feinstein and Edna's ALL ABOUT ME Cancels First 3 Previews; Now Begins Performances 2/22

The producers of All About Me announced today that due to the late change in directors, Michael Feinstein and Dame Edna's All About Me will begin previews at the Henry Miller's Theatre Three days later than previously announced.  All About Me's original director, Jerry Zaks, recently left the production to work as the head creative consultant on THE ADDAMS FAMILY, also heading to Broadway this spring. Casey Nicholaw stepped into fill Zak's shoes just a few weeks ago.

All About Me will now begin previews on February 22 at Henry Miller's Theatre as opposed to the previously announced date of February 19. It is anticipated that All About Me will open as scheduled on March 18.

Also announced was that Feinstein and Edna wil share a "written by" credit with playwright Christopher Durang. The show's credits now read: "conceived by Feinstein and Humphries, with Lizzie Spender and Terrence Flannery."

Lizzie Spender - daughter of poet Stephen Spender - is married to Humphries; Terrence Flannery has been married Feinstein since October 2008. 

All About Me is being produced by Jeffrey Richards, Jerry Frankel, Robert G. Bartner and the Ambassador Theater Group.

On Broadway, Nicholaw directed and choreographed The Drowsy Chaperone, choreographed Monty Python's Spamalot and directed the play To Be Or Not To Be. As a performer, he has appeared in Thoroughly Modern Millie, Seussical, Saturday Night Fever, The Scarlet Pimpernell, Steel Pier, Victor/Victoria, The Best Little Whorehouse Goes Public, and Crazy for You. His upcoming projects include the Broadway-bound world premiere of Robin and the 7 Hoods, set to open at the Old Globe Theatre in the summer of 2010.

Michael Feinstein - the multi-platinum selling, five-time Granny nominated entertainer plays 150 plus shows a year, including at Carnegie Hall, the London Palladium, the Hollywood Bowl and major concert halls, as well as the White House and Buckingham Palace. More than a mere performer, he is nationally recognized for his commitment to the American popular song, both celebrating its art and preserving its legacy for the next generation.Michael has written the score for two new stage musicals: The Day They Saved Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and The Gold Room, and he has just started to work with MGM developing The Thomas Crown Affair into a musical for Broadway. He recently recorded his newest album, The Power of Two in collaboration with Cheyenne Jackson.

Dame Edna Everage (Barry Humphries), housewife, megastar, investigative journalist, social anthropologist, children's book illustrator, diseuse, chanteuse, swami, monstre sacré, polymath, adviser to British royalty, grief counsellor, spin doctor and icon has had a career that spans nearly 50 years. She has starred in such shows as Dame Edna: Back with a Vengeance and Dame Edna: The Royal Tour, for which he won the Drama Desk award for Outstanding Solo Performance and received a Special Tony Award for Live Theatrical Presentation. Her books include Dame Edna's Coffee Table Book, Dame Edna's Bedside Companion, Lost Monasteries of Bulgaria, her autobiography My Gorgeous Life and her new book (in the pipeline) Love Your Husband's Prostate.
