FOREVER PLAID Returns to Benefit BC/EFA

Off Broadway's iconic harmonious hit, Forever Plaid returns to New York for a limited engagement to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS for three special performances on April 5th, 6th and 7th (7PM) at the Laurie Beechman Theatre at West Bank Café (407 W. 42nd Street).

"Forever Plaid" started right here at the West Bank nearly 30 years ago before transferring uptown for nearly 2000 performances," stated creator/director Stuart Ross." "The show has played on every continent (except the South Pole!) but the The Plaids miss New York and knew the Laurie Beechman would make the perfect place to return for the BC/EFA benefit performances."

Forever Plaid is the story of a semi-professional harmony group that met their demise on the way to their first big gig, the night the Beatles played the Ed Sullivan Show, February 9, 1964. But Cosmos smiles and allows them to slip through a hole in the ozone layer to do the show that they never got to do in life.

Featuring such hits as Sixteen Tons, Chain Gang, Three Coins in the Fountain, Perfidia, Cry, Catch a Falling Star, Day-O, Gotta Be This or That, Matilda, and Heart and Soul, this hilarious, heart-felt harmonic convergence will have you humming along and rollin' in the aisles from the delightful patter of the original clean-cut boy band - The Plaids. The Plaids will be played by: Sean Bell as Smudge, Nick Cearley asSparky, Joshua David Cavnaugh - Frankie, and Justin Sargent asJinx. The production will also feature Special Guest Appearances by Original New York and National Touring Cast Members: David Engel, Drew Geraci, Paul Castree, Ryan Perry, Jeff Blumenkrantz, Michael Winther, Paul Binotto, Bobby Randle, Donnie Kehr, Garris Wimmer and more!

Produced by Richard Martini, the production is directed by Stuart Ross with David Hancock Turner serving as music director andJason Buell as production coordinator. Original arrangements and musical continuity by James Raitt.
