Manila, Philippines, November 25, 2012 - Fresh off their successful auditions for the still unclear London revival production of Cameron Mackintosh's mega-musical "Miss Saigon," Rachelle Ann Go (Disney's "The Little Mermaid"), Frencheska Farr ("Emir"), and Aicelle Santos, who made it to the very final audition phase, conducted by Mackintosh's creative team -  Trevor Jackson, Laurence Connor, Stephen Brooker, Geoffrey Garratt -  that travelled to Manila last week, performed a medley of songs from "Miss Saigon" in GMA's noontime musical variety show "Party Pilipinas" early today.

Directed by Rico Gutierrez, the musical production for the segment, dubbed "Party Pilipinas Move: Homage to 'Miss Saigon,'" has also featured "Miss Saigon" original London cast member Robert Sena, who also played Thuy, a Vietnamese soldier that is betrothed to Kim, in the international touring production of "Miss Saigon" shown in Manila 12 years ago; one of Philippine Musical Theater's favorite leading men, Gian Magdangal ("The Wedding Singer," "Rent"); and another female aspirant at the recent auditions, Rita de Guzman.

Snippets of the most popular musical numbers from "Miss Saigon" such as "The Heat is On in Saigon," "The Movie in my Mind," "Sun and Moon," "I'd Give my Life for You," and "The Last Night of the World" were included in the musical tribute.

Addendum: Mackintosh's team will be studying its options.  No final casting choices were announced after the auditions.
