EVITA at Returns to Tulsa at Tulsa Performing Arts Center For only the third time in history, EVITA is being performed in Tulsa. Tulsa Performing Arts Center presents EVITA, running January 12th-21st at the John H. Williams Theatre.

Tulsa World reports that the show has only been performed in the city twice previously: the National Tour stopped there in 1994, and it was performed by a different Tulsa theater in 2011 (the theater in question has since closed.)

Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's EVITA tells the story of Eva Perón, who began her life as an aspiring actress, eventually becoming the first lady of Argentina and Spiritual Leader of the Nation, before her untimely death at age 33.

EVITA features Karlena Riggs (Evita), John Orsulak (Juan Perón), Sean Patrick Rooney (Che), Jeffrey McCollum (Magaldi), and Claire Schroepfer (Perón's Mistress).
