EULOGY Will Transfer to Seattle Rep After Sold-Out PWT Run
Brendan Healy wrote the show, subtitled How To Plan Your Own Funeral (And Have Fun Doing It!).
PWT's hit 2025 show, Eulogy, will move to Seattle Rep this fall. Local playwright turned his own funeral into a performance. Now his “Eulogy” is moving to larger theatres, both in Seattle and beyond.
Brendan Healy was born with an incurable, terminal illness. Last year he created a show about his experience facing death and planning his own funeral. After a sold-out 4-week run last fall and rave reviews, Eulogy, or How to Plan Your Own Funeral (and have fun doing it!) will now receive a 3-week run at Seattle Repertory Theater this fall, before another production at Artists Repertory Theatre next spring. Performances will run September 24 - October 11, 2026.

You are invited to the memorial service for Brendan Healy. There will be remembrances of his life, his family, and his navigation of American healthcare–plus pictures of puppies. The eulogy will be delivered by...Brendan Healy. In this new show, a local playwright shares insights on life with a terminal illness and offers tips for planning your own funeral. Join us for this life-affirming story about the journey we must all take eventually. In lieu of flowers, you're encouraged to sing a song you love, bake your sister her favorite cake, or bring all your family and friends to this world premiere show.
After completing the 3-week run at Seattle Rep, Eulogy will be produced by Artists Repertory Theatre (ART) in Portland, OR next spring. It will be directed by Matt Pavik. The ART production of Eulogy, or How to Plan Your Own Funeral (and have fun doing it!) will run in Portland from April 13, 2027 - May 9, 2027.
