Deadline Extended to November 26 for the Eight Arte Laguna Prize
Entries to the Eight Arte Laguna Prize have been extended to 26 November 2013. It is still possible to enter one or more of the contest sections: painting, sculpture and installation, video art and performance, photography, virtual and digital art.
Participants can still win:

one of the 5 money prizes, each of 7,000 Euros

video artists can have the chance to show their works in Beijing in summer 2014 thanks to the collaboration with Art Nova 100
There will be 5 overall winners, one for each section, who will be awarded a cash prize of 7,000 Euros each.
The 110 finalists will exhibit their works in March 2014 in the "temple" of contemporary art, the Arsenal of Venice.
Works are judged by 10 prominent figures of the international art scene: Enrico Bettinello(Italy, Director of Teatro Fondamenta Nuove), Silvia Ferri de Lazara (Italy, Director of Fondazione March), Victoria Lu (China, Creative Director of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Taiwan), Domenico Quaranta (Italy, Critic and Curator), Veeranganakumari Solanki(India, Independent curator and Art writer), Miguel Amado (Portugal, Curator of the Portuguese Pavilion at the 2013 Venice Biennale), Sabrina Van Der Ley (Norway, Contemporary Art Department at Nasjonalmuseet in Oslo), Andrea Viliani (Italy, Director Museum MADRE in Naples), Jonathan Watkins (Great Britain, Director Ikon Gallery),Claudia Zanfi (Italy, Art Historian and Cultural Manager), together with the curator of the prize since its first edition, Igor Zanti.
The "Innovative Interactive Tour on Telecom Italia's Future Centre" has also been created, the new special prize born from the collaboration with Telecom Italia.
This new special prize is open not only to artists, but also to architects and designers, who are asked to present an innovative idea for the fruition of the architectural spaces of the former convent of San Salvador in Venice, currently the venue of the Future Centre of Telecom Italia. The best project will be awarded in March 2014 with a prize of 5,000 Euros, to be used to carry out the project.
