DISTRACTED Returns to the Bus Barn This Week

Critical praise continues to roll in for Distracted, which returns to the Bus Barn stage tonight!

Joanne Engelhardt writing for The Palo Alto Daily News says Distracted is "definitely worth seeing", praising Gary Landis' "strong, quirky direction" and a "skilled, tightly-knit cast." Dana Morgan is "top-notch" as Mama, Jeff Clarke "brings just the right amount of coolness" to the role of Dad, and John Stephen King is "quirky and hilarious" as three different doctors.

Meanwhile over in the Los Altos Town Crier, Bob Davis proclaims Distracted to be "compelling" and "relevant", citing the "expertly arranged" use of projections and "the timing and coordination" of the actors being "virtually flawless."

Audience members agree, posting on Facebook, "easily one of the best things I've seen in the bay. Incredibly solid acting all around, an engrossing story, and an excellent use of set and video to convey the show's central point. I have been so happy to watch Los Altos kill it show after show, and Distracted is definitely a peak."

Los Altos Stage Company's production of Distracted is directed by Executive Artistic Director Gary Landis (Middletown, Maple and Vine, The Fantasticks). It features CJ Aaronson, Vanessa Alvarez, Caitie Clancey Jeff Clarke, Annika Diekgers, Leslie Ivy, John Stephen King, Judith Miller, and Dana Cordelia Morgan. Scenic design by Christopher Fitzer, costume design by Lisa Claybaugh, lighting design by Miranda Waldron, sound design by Danielle Kisner, and property design by Ting Na Wang.
