Dear Evan Hansen

To commemorate Mental Health Month this May, the Tony Award-winning musical Dear Evan Hansen will join forces with TIME and the mental health-conscious beauty brand philosophy for "You Will Be Found," an exclusive event to highlight contemporary mental health issues on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at 3:30 PM, it was announced today. The one-day-only event will take place at Meredith's downtown offices and will feature mental-health-focused conversations and a performance from the cast of Dear Evan Hansen. The panel will include actor/activist Rowan Blanchard, Dear Evan Hansen book writer Steven Levenson and mental health experts Dr. Harold Koplewicz (founder of Child Mind Institute), John MacPhee (Executive Director/CEO of JED Foundation) and Jeannette Pai-Espinosa (President of National Crittenton).

Independently, Dear Evan Hansen, TIME and philosophy have each made strides in confronting these contemporary issues in their own fields. This invite only event brings together all three organizations to continue that conversation on a national stage.

The conversation will be streamed live on TIME's Facebook page, and a limited number of tickets will be made available to Dear Evan Hansen fans and New York City public school students.

"We're so thrilled to partner with TIME and philosophy on this initiative," Dear Evan Hansen producer Stacey Mindich said. "Bringing people together to talk about mental health issues, particularly in young people, has been a dream of mine from the first moment Dear Evan Hansen found an audience. It's a conversation we need to be having, and I'm grateful to our partners for helping to make this dream a reality."

"TIME has been covering the rising tide of anxiety and depression among young Americans for the last five years. We've seen that these issues transcend stats and slogans. This is about the complex ways we connect with each other in a culture undergoing seismic technological change," said TIME Executive Editor Susanna Schrobsdorff. "And I can think of no better way to get at the heart of what's happening than to talk with the artists, experts, and advocates who will join us on May 10th."

"We couldn't be more excited to partner with kindred organizations Dear Evan Hansen and TIME, who are working to end the stigma around mental health issues," said Andy Fouché, Global Vice President of Influencer Marketing at philosophy. "Partnerships like these exemplify the efforts that are needed to support mental health and well-being, which disproportionately affect women, around the world."

The winner of six 2017 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Dear Evan Hansen features a book by Tony Award-winner Steven Levenson, a score by Academy Award and Tony winning composers Benj Pasek & Justin Paul, and direction by 4-time Tony® Award nominee Michael Greif. The Grammy Award-winning Original Broadway Cast Recording of Dear Evan Hansen, produced by Atlantic Records, was released in February 2017, making an extraordinary debut on the Billboard 200 and entering the chart at #8 - the highest charting debut position for an original cast album since 1961. Declared "One of the most remarkable shows in musical theater history" by the Washington Post's Peter Marks, Dear Evan Hansen opened on Broadway at the Music Box Theatre to rave reviews on December 4, 2016, where it's broken all box office records and has struck a chord with critics and audiences alike.
