On July 15th, the Cornelia Street Café (29 Cornelia St.) hosts an evening of music with 'Have Songs, Will Travel' at 6PM and the World Tango Project with Matt Darriau and Pablo Aslan at 9PM. Cover for both shows is $10 with a $10 drink minimum for the 6PM set. For more information, please call 212-989-9319 or visit www.corneliastreetcafe.com.

'Have Songs, Will Travel' features the music of the legendary Kurt Weill, Leonard Bernstein, and the beautiful and lyrical melodies of contemporary composer, Mira J. Spektor. They are sung by the husband and wife vocal team of Darcy Dunn, mezzo-soprano, and Mark Singer, baritone, under the musical direction of pianist, Mimi Stern-Wolfe.

The World Tango Project is a long time simmering collaboration between the clarinet world music maven Matt Darriau and the Argentine bassist and tango jazz pioneer Pablo Aslan. They zero in on international 1930's tango songs as a point of departure. Expect no drums but lots of rhythm, a chamber jazz world music sound from the heart of Brooklyn. This show of the World Tango Project includes Katie Down, Dam Bardfeld, and Jofre Romarion. For more information on Darriau, visit: http://www.myspace.com/mattdarriau.
