Concrete Temple Theatre proudly presents the New York premiere of The Bellagio Fountain Has Been Known to Make Me Cry, written by Renee Philippi, co-directed by Eric Nightengale and Renee Philippi, designed by Carlo Adinolfi, with original music composed by Joseph C. Phillips Jr. The Bellagio Fountain Has Been Known to Make Me Cry runs from November 27 - December 13, 2015 in a limited engagement at HERE, located at 145 6th Avenue (Enter on Dominick, 1 block south of Spring) in New York City. Previews begin November 27 for a November 30 opening.
Performances are Thursdays - Saturdays at 7pm and Sundays at 2pm with an added show on Monday, November 30 at 7pm. Tickets are $20 and $15 for students and seniors. Two Floridians dream of a fantastic escape to Las Vegas. There's just one minor problem, the ground is sinking beneath them. Pairing women and water as metaphors for one another, The Bellagio Fountain Has Been Known to Make Me Cry explores themes of conservation and regeneration, and at its heart, our eternal quest for happiness.

Renee Philippi (Writer & Co-Director) is Artistic Director of Concrete Temple Theatre with
Carlo Adinolfi. Her work has been seen in NYC, nationally and internationally at The Yard, Atlanta Arts Festival, Bard Summerscape, and in Costa Rica, Germany, Italy, India and Sri Lanka. Renee is alumna of Women's Project Directors Forum, Spiderwoman, Ice Factory Festival and a member of Lincoln Center's Directors Lab, New Georges and LPTW. She's been an Artist-in-Residence with
Mabou Mines, Playwrights Center, St. Ann's,
Directors Company, Nantucket Historical Association, Workspace for Choreographers, The Flea, The Yard, Dixon Place and a Directing Fellow at the Williamstown Festival.
Eric Nightengale (Co-Director) served as Artistic Director of 78th Street Theatre Lab in NYC from 1995-2008 and currently is a company member of Acme Corporation in Baltimore. His New York directing credits include work at

Soho Rep,
Acting Company, Circle in the Square,
Classic Stage Company and River Ensemble. In Chicago, Eric served as Artistic Director for Actors Repertory Theatre, and has directed for

Carlo Adinolfi (Designer) is Artistic Director of Concrete Temple Theatre with
Renee Philippi. He is CTT's Set Designer and TD. Adinolfi is a dancer, actor and puppeteer. He is a recipient of a Bel Geddes Grant for design for The Bellagio Fountain Has Been Known to Make Me Cry, an Independent Artists Challenge Program Award, multiple Henson Foundation Grants, an EST/Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Science Commission and a Berkshire Taconic Foundation commission.
Since 2004, Concrete Temple Theatre has been in operation as a small energetic touring company based in NYC, presenting performances and leading workshops locally, nationally and internationally. Concrete Temple has created fifteen original works (seven touring) and is currently developing two new works. They have received several commissions, have had an extended run Off-Broadway and have been Artists-in-Residence at Dixon Place (NYC), The Yard (Martha's Vineyard) and St. Ann's Warehouse (Brooklyn). CTT have performed at
Barrow Street Theatre, HERE, Bard's SummerScape, Hudson Opera House, and at theatres in Turkey, Costa Rica, India, Italy, Scotland, Bulgaria and Sri Lanka.
Concrete Temple Theatre is a multi-disciplinary company that creates compelling new theatre works, incorporating drama, dance, puppetry, music, and the visual arts, which focus on the individual's struggle for identity and society's need for cohesive community.
