Casting announced for Little Children Dream of God
I am so pleased to announce that casting for the world premiere of Jeff Augustin's Little Children Dream of God, directed by Giovanna Sardelli, is complete. The play will feature Gilbert Cruz (Manuel), Dashiell Eaves (Trevor), Carl Hendrick Louis (Toussaint and Man), Maurice Jones (Joel), Crystal Lucas-Perry (Madison), Chris Myers (Vishal), Deirdre O'Connell (Carolyn), and Carra Patterson (Sula).
The creative team includes: Andrew Boyce (Sets), Jennifer Caprio (Costumes), Gina Scherr (Lighting) and M.L. Dogg (Sound).
Dashiell Eaves is a Roundabout alum, having appeared with us in 1776. I'm thrilled to welcome the rest of the cast to the Roundabout stage, although many of them are already friends of the company and frequent cast members in readings and workshops. This is a phenomenally talented group. Chris Myers recently received an Obie for his work in An Octoroon, and Deirdre O'Connell has received an Obie for Sustained Excellence in Performance as well as Obie and Drama Desk Awards for her work in Circle Mirror Transformation. As a group, the cast boasts numerous Broadway credits-among them The Lieutenant of Inishmore (Dashiell Eaves), Romeo & Juliet(Maurice Jones), and Wit (Carra Patterson)-as well as prolific Off-Broadway and regional careers.
I couldn't be more proud to have this exceptional cast on board for Roundabout Underground's eighth season.
The world premiere of Little Children Dream of God begins preview performances Off-Broadway on Thursday, January 24, 2015 at the Black Box Theatre in the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre. All tickets for Roundabout Underground productions are $20.
