Joe's Pub will celebrate Gay Pride Week with a number of performances this June. Among those appearing at the intimate downtown venue (located at 425 Lafayette St.) will be Natalie Joy Johnson, Kevin Cahoon and Ghetto Cowboy, Blossom Dearie, Jackie Hoffman and Julie Wilson.

Jamie McGonnigal will present "Joe's Big Gay Luau" on Saturday, June 24th at 11:30 PM. "Joe's Big Gay Luau is a celebration of New York City's heritage of pride and will feature performances by some of the city's favorite stars and brightest Broadway talent. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Joey DiPaolo AIDS Foundation and Camp TLC. Fun, Games and Prizes are in store (sponsored by Michael Lucas). Hosted by Natalie Joy Johnson, this party will sizzle into the wee hours of the morning!," state press notes.

The Wedding Singer's Kevin Cahoon and his band Ghetto Cowboy will take the stage on Sunday, June 25th at 11:30pm. "Prepare to be held captive by the pistol power performance and raw theatrics of glam punk/pop band Kevin Cahoon and Ghetto Cowboy, performing tracks from their freshly released debut CD, Doll. KC & GC have become one of the most buzzed about new music events in New York City's downtown music scene, having played packed shows in such venues as Irving Plaza, CBGB's, Don Hill's and Ars Nova, among others. KC&GC's unique brand of distorted, gritty rock and occasional doll-throwing antics guarantee that their performances are, and always will be, more than just an ordinary show." Cahoon has also appeared in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, The Lion King, Hedwig and the Angry Inch and more.

Intimate Nights: The Golden Age of New York Cabaret will be a book party featuring Blossom Dearie, Julie Wilson, Jackie Hoffman, Novella Nelson, Baby Jane Dexter, Spencer Day, Paula West, Ann Hampton Callaway, Joanne Beretta, and author James Gavin. It will take place on Monday, June 26th at 7 PM.

"This once-in-a-lifetime event will gather some of Manhattan's most illustrious cabaret stars, a few historic impresarios, and rare archival film footage in celebration of the revised, updated new edition of James Gavin's book Intimate Nights: The Golden Age of New York Cabaret. This definitive 80-year journey through the glittering, outrageous annals of cabaret and the legends who came out of it (including Streisand, Midler, Woody Allen, Lenny Bruce, and Eartha Kitt) won ASCAP's prestigious Deems Taylor Award after its original 1991 publication. Author James Gavin has written for the New York Times, Vanity Fair, and Time Out."

Other scheduled acts include "The Losers Lounge's Tribute to ABBA" (June 15th at 9:30 PM, June 16th and 17th at 7 PM and 9:30 PM, actress/comedienne Maggie Cassella's "Because I Said So" (June 21st at 11:30 PM), Sherry Vine and The Vinettes' "Totally Funked Up" (June 22nd at 11:30 PM), singer/songwriter Michelle Shocked (June 23rd at 7 PM), "he Boys of Melody," featuring Stephin Merritt, Joel Gibb of The Hidden Cameras, Phantastic Invisible Tentacles (June 23rd at 11:30 PM), Jill Sobule (June 27th and 28th at 7:30 PM), Diamanda Galas (June 28th and 29th at 11:30 PM), the band Girlyman (July 3rd at 7:30 PM) and performance artist Taylor Mac (July 9th, 16th and 23rd at 9:30 PM)
