The award winning CAP21 Theatre Company will kick off its 2014 season on February 4th with the new musical by Jonathan Larson Award winning writers Dan Collins (book) and Julianne Wick Davis (music and lyrics). The story was conceived in collaboration by Julianne Wick Davis, Sally Wilfert & Michael Winther. The production will be directed by Eric Hoff with musical direction by Charity Wicks and will star Broadway veterans Sally Wilfert (Broadway: Disney's King David, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, Assassins; Off-Broadway: See Rock City and Make Me a Song), and Michael Winther (Broadway: 33 Variations, Mamma Mia!, 1776, Damn Yankees; Drama Desk nomination: Songs From An Unmade Bed).

The creative team includes: James J. Fenton (Scenic/Props Design), Brian Tovar (Lighting Design), Kara L. Harmon (Costume Design), John Emmett O'Brien (Sound Design), Michael Starobin (Orchestrations), and Greg Pliska (Orchestrations).

When We Met is a love story about an unlikely couple: a quantum physicist and a pet psychic. This new musical pits science, theory and proof against intuition, faith and spirituality as it explores the journey of two adults struggling to open their hearts to the greatest intangible of all: love.

The production will play at CAP21's intimate stage (70 seats) February 4-February 22, 2014 (Tuesdays-Saturdays). All performances will be at 7pm. Tickets are available for $18 at www.cap21.org. CAP21 is located at 18 West 18th Street, New York, NY 10011.

Additionally, numerous new works developed with The CAP21 Theatre Company have moved on to subsequent productions and workshops around the U.S. and four new musicals produced at CAP21 have been awarded the Jonathan Larson Grant Award.

The CAP21 Conservatory is proudly one of the America's top musical theatre training programs and currently has over 100 alums that have performed on Broadway.
