'Broadway's Carols for a Cure, Volume 11' Set For Release On 10/24

Rock-It Science Records presents Broadway's Carols for a Cure, Volume 11 (a new title for the newest CD in the series formerly known as Broadway's Greatest Gifts: Carols for a Cure). Featuring the incredible talents of stars and casts from virtually every show on Broadway this year, the annual holiday CD benefits Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA). This two-disc set will offer 20+ original and traditional holiday songs recorded especially for this benefit CD. Included are the voices of Tony Award winners Gregory Jbara, Trent Kowalik, and Alice Ripley; as well as Donna Lynne Champlin, James Carpinello, Lauren Molina, Laura Osnes, Jennifer Barnhart and hundreds of Broadway performers and musicians.

Participating companies include the Tony AwardÓ Winners for Best Musical and Best Revival of a Musical, Billy Elliot and Hair, as well as Wicked, Jersey Boys, Mamma Mia!, Next to Normal, In the Heights, Shrek, South Pacific, The Phantom of the Opera, and many others.

Additionally, the CDs are sold during a six-week "Gypsy-of-the-Year" fundraising period from mid-October through mid-December at participating Broadway and off-Broadway shows in New York. The CDs also are available at select venues throughout the U.S., including The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC; The LA Phil Store in Disney Hall; Reprise Theater Company at Brentwood Theatre; and the John W. Engeman Theater in New York

Lynn Pinto is Executive Producer of the Carols for a Cure series for Rock-It Science Records. Pinto, a professional singer /actress who made her Broadway debut in the 1998 revival of The Sound of Music, has been producing recordings for BC/EFA and many other artists ever since. The Carols for a Cure series of recordings has raised almost $3 million dollars for BC/EFA since its inception in 1999, providing support and care for those suffering with AIDS, as well as lending support to women's health issues.

Over the years, Carols for a Cure CDs have featured special performances by stars Nick Jonas, Bernadette Peters, Idina Menzel, Antonio Banderas, Hugh Jackman, Harvey Fierstein, Raul Esparza, John Tartaglia, Darlene Love, Hugh Panaro, Michael McKean, Annette O'Toole, Brad Oscar, Andrea McArdle, Phyllis Newman, Judith Ivey, and Susan Egan among others.

Rock-it Science Records (www.rock-itscience.com) is an independent record label based in New York City co-founded by Broadway performer and producer Lynn Pinto.
