Where: 54 Below (254 W 54th Street)

When: May 23rd at 9:30 PM

Tickets: $40-80

"It's hardly fair to critique material that is not yet finished, although I will say that I heard enough of the score of Exposure, which involves a New York photographer and a homeless teen on the streets of Chicago, to want to hear a lot more" -Chris Jones, Chicago Tribune

Exposure, a finalist and winner from Chicago's FWD Theatre Project, follows a "discarded" female youth, who projects as a male and most specifically as James Dean, as she tries to navigate the treacherous homeless systems in Chicago. When she crosses paths with a disgruntled former star-photographer, she reignites his artistic imagination. He has visions of using her as his muse while desperately trying to recreate his earlier success. Ever present, the relentless spirit of James Dean shadows our homeless girl and becomes a force of comfort, friction and eventually salvation. Come hear the innovative and captivating score that has enamored audiences and stars alike.

Music and Lyrics by Erik Della Penna. Musical Direction by Doug Peck (The Jungle Book, Porgy and Bess, Carousel, Chicago Guys and Dolls). Created and conceived by Cathy Nathan. Photograph by Sandro.

The Skivvies

Where: 54 Below (254 W 54th Street)

When: May 27th at 9:30 PM

Tickets: $35-80 at

This "musically thrilling" undie-rock, comedy-pop duo don't just strip down their musical arrangements, they literally strip down to their underwear to perform their distinctive mashups and eccentric originals for cello and ukulele, with touches of glockenspiel, melodica, and a surprising array of under-used instruments. Award-winning singer-actors Lauren Molina (Marry Me a Little, Sweeney Todd, Rock of Ages) and Nick Cearley (All Shook Up) became YouTube sensations as The Skivvies, with living room videos that displayed their powerful harmonies as well as their powerful abs. Those clips led to live shows that The Wall Street Journal called "smart, sophisticated...ingenious," and Out Magazine, "The Skivvies have managed to carve out a niche that we never knew needed to exist: part Weird Al-parody and part sexy burlesque...and unusual explosion of satire and sultry." They also have a single and music video directed by Augusten Burroughs, bestselling author of Running With Scissors. They will be joined by special guest stars who will strip down and rock out. Expect a hilarious evening of genre-hopping pop perfection.

May 27 Special Guests:
Erik Altemus, Lindsay Nicole Chambers, Benny Elledge, Christopher Hanke, Travis Kent, Patti Murin, Ryann Redmond, and Prescott Seymour

*Special guests subject to change.

"He's the dazzling stage vet whose great looks and even greater pipes served him well leading the Broadway blockbusters Les Miserables, The Lion King and now Aladdin. She's the charming little sister who followed him from California to Broadway, debuting as a touching Nina in the final In The Heights company and then rolled around Oz as Nessarose in Wicked. Together, they're a stunning sibling act. Get to know Adam and Arielle Jacobs! "-
