Broadway's 40 theatres aren't the only places to catch performances from your favorite stars! Well after Broadway orchestra's begin their overtures, ensemble members take their dance breaks, and performers belt out their eleven- o'clock numbers, the party continues at various cabaret venues throughout New York City. Below, BroadwayWorld brings you some cabaret highlights for this week as picked by our theatre editors, including: James Snyder, The Trevor Project, Judy Kaye Sings Bernstein & Sondheim, Remembering Elaine Stritch, and 54 Sings The Wiz.

James Snyder: I Shouldn't Be Here

Currently co-starring with Idina Menzel in If/Then as Josh, James Snyder makes his 54 Below debut. Taking a look back at his own If/Then moments, James will share stories and big songs from the shows he has starred in: West Side Story, bare, Rock of Ages, Cry-Baby and more. The evening will include stories about how his choices and chances shaped the life he leads right now: from City Center Encores'Fanny to Carousel at Goodspeed which led him to The Richard Rogers Theater and his current leading role in one of Broadway's biggest musicals. Whatever road you take, it shapes your life... whether it's getting married, finding out you're going to be a dad, or starring on Broadway in a new musical. Broadway Sings for The Trevor Project Concert is set for Monday, August 4th at 9:30PM (9:00PM doors open) at The Metropolitan Room. Tickets are available online at www.metropolitanroom.com for $20. Nightlife's Dougie Meyer will be emcee the evening, accompanied by hosts Elizabeth James and Terra Grenade. Judy Kaye, Broadway legend and two time Tony Award winner (PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT) makes a splash at 54 Below with her new show celebrating the work of Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim.
