Broadway Unplugged CD Released on September 12

A CD with songs from the first 2004 sold-out Broadway Unplugged concert will be available beginning on September 12th. 

Bayview Records will release and Peter Pinne will produce the CD, which features Nancy Anderson (Kiss Me, Kate), Christine Andreas (The Scarlet Pimpernel), Stephanie J. Block (Wicked, The Boy From Oz), Michael Cerveris (Sweeney Todd, Assassins), Ann Harada (Avenue Q), Cady Huffman (The Producers), Marc Kudisch (Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Thoroughly Modern Millie), Norm Lewis (Two Gentlemen of Verona, Side Show), Alice Ripley (Side Show, Rocky Horror Show), Mary Testa (A New Brain, Marie Christine) and other Broadway luminaries singing songs from musicals without the aid of any kind of amplification.  The concert, which was hosted by Scott Siegel at Town Hall (123 W. 43rd St., between 6th Avenue and Broadway) and directed by Jack Cummings III, sold out on September 27th, 2004.  Ross Patterson was responsible for the music direction of Broadway Unplugged.  The list of songs and performers is as follows:

Due to the success of the first Broadway Unplugged, a second one will be unveiled on September 19th; it will also be hosted by Siegel at Town Hall.  Starring
Sutton Foster (Little Women, Thoroughly Modern Millie), Cheyenne Jackson (All Shook Up), Marc Kudisch, Emily Skinner (Side Show, The Full Monty), Chuck Cooper (Caroline, or Change, The Life), Julia Murney (Lennon, The Wild Party), Mary Bond Davis (Hairspray), Christianne Noll (Jekyll and Hyde), Norm Lewis, and others, the show's $60 tickets are already sold out (tickets at other prices are still available, however).
