Broadway producer, Gloria Hope Sher, died peacefully on Saturday, March 9, 2013, at The Haven in NYC. Born in Chicago in 1928, Mrs. Sher was 85 years old.

On Broadway, Mrs. Sher, along with her husband and producing partner, the late Louis K. Sher, is known for her producing work in the '70s and '80s. She and her husband had a hand in Eccentricities of a Nightingale with Betsy Palmer; The Trip Back Down with John Cullum; Inacent Black with Melba Moore; The American Dance Machine and Shenandoah, again with John Collum, garnering the show a Tony Award nomination for Best Production and a Tony Award for Mr. Cullum's performance.

Mrs. Sher is survived by her husband Frederick Evans, her daughter, actress/singer Bonnie Hope Sher, grandson Daniel Louis Ratner & great-grandchildren Aaron & Elizabeth Ratner.

Private funeral services took place on Monday, March 11, with a family reception at the home of Bonnie Sher in Beverly Hills.
