In its inaugural year, the First Annual Broadway Cabaret Festival will feature some of Broadway's brightest stars performing at Town Hall (123 W. 43rd St.) from October 21st to 23rd.Hosted by producer/writer Scott Siegel (Broadway by the Year), the festival's first evening will boast performances from Billy Stritch (42nd Street, Minnelli on Minnelli), Brent Barrett(Grand Hotel, Chicago), Jim Caruso (Jim Caruso's Cast Party), Nancy
Anderson (Wonderful Town, Kiss Me, Kate), Bryan Batt (La Cage aux Folles, Beauty and the Beast), Jarrod Cafaro, Belle Callaway (Chicago, The Will Rogers Follies), Scott Coulter,
Cheyenne Jackson (All Shook Up, Bare), Sharon McKnight (Starmites), Rachelle Rak (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels), Michael Winther (Mamma Mia!) and
Rachel York (City of Angels, Dessa Rose); they will pay tribute to the great songwriting team at 8 PM in Life is a Cabaret: A Tribute to Kander and Ebb (Cabaret, Chicago, Zorba, Kiss of the Spiderwoman). On the second evening, the two Tony-nominated star from Taboo and the belter from Brooklyn respectively will do what the title says in Euan Morton & Eden Espinosa Sing Broadway!; their cabaret will be held on October 22nd at 8 PM.
On the concluding day at 3 PM, Broadway Originals
will feature Siegel hosting an evening of songs performed by the stars
who originated them in a number of musicals.
