The Barrow Group will honor actress and former Barrow Group student Anne Hathaway (The Princess Diaries) Hillard Farber and Mary Harpster at the celebration of their 11th Annual Celebrity Scribbles and Doodles Auction, on Monday, April 25, 2005 at 6 p.m at The Barrow Group (312 West 36th St.)

Hosted by Comedy Central's Cory Kahaney, the auction will honor in addition to Anne Hathaway, benefactor Hillard Farber and A.R.T. New York's Mary Harpster for the contributions they have made to The Barrow Group.

The Barrow Group has garnered major accolades in its 19 years, including the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Off-Off Broadway Ensemble. Their new Arts Center includes seven studios, an art gallery and a 99-seat theatre where British Playwright David Edgar's (The Life and Times of Nicholas Nickelby) PENTECOST had its NY premiere. THE TRICKY PART, the Obie Award winning one-man show by Martin Moran, directed by TBG's Artistic Director Seth Barrish and produced by Jim Freydburg, was conceived and developed at The Barrow Group.

Some of the Doodles up for silent auction have been sketched by Harvey Fierstein, Rosemary Harris, Alfred Molina, Janeane Garofalo, John Lithgow, Ruben Santiago-Hudson, Kurt Vonnegut, Eric Idol, Liz Smith and more are expected.

There will be champagne, caviar, blackjack, roulette and caricaturists on site.

Live auction items include a SOPRANOS Jacket signed by the cast, and dinner at Bouley. Other auction items can be viewed as they come in at www.barrowgroup.org.
