WEST SIDE STORY will come to the MasterCard Theatres at the Marina Bay Sands resort in Singapore this fall.

Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet is transported to modern-day New York City as two young, idealistic lovers find themselves caught between warring street gangs, the "American" Jets and the Puerto Rican Sharks. Their struggle to survive in a world of hate, violence and prejudice is one of the most innovative, heart-wrenching and relevant musical dramas of our time.

WEST SIDE STORY features lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, music by Leonard Bernstein, and book by Arthur Laurents. WEST SIDE STORY has been produced three times on Broadway, twice in London's West End and has had numerous US, UK and international tours over the last 60 years. In 1961, a critically-acclaimed movie version was made which won 10 Oscars including Best Picture.

For this Singapore production, an American cast will be in Singapore to entertain audiences with Joey McKneely's award-winning staging of the show. It is the only production in the world to currently feature Jerome Robbin's original choreography. The new production of the classic dance musical is receiving wild acclaim during sold-out sessions around the world including London, Tokyo and Sydney. Besides Singapore, the tour will travel to Hong Kong and Manila in 2017.

WEST SIDE STORY will open at Marina Bay Sands September 13 for a limited run. Performances will take place Tuesdays-Fridays at 8 p.m., Saturdays at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m., and Sundays at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. Tickets may be purchased online here.
